Written by TNP | Oct 19, 2022 8:47:13 AM

Dynamics 365 Business Central will receive a host of new features in October 2022. Get an overview of what to expect from Microsoft in this blog. Click through onto any of the features listed here to read more on Microsoft's website.

Our blog outlines what is new and planned starting in October 2022 through to April 2023, when there will be another release of features. The public preview of certain features may already be available.

Highlights from the release include:

  • The addition of the modern action bar, including a home tab and any customisable functions that you frequently use, making navigation much quicker. You can also add split buttons, which amends the items included in the drop downs of buttons like 'Post'
  • The ability to switch between companies using one click in the Business Central role centre
  • You can now search for specific document lines, such as Sales Lines or Posted Purchase Invoice lines, in the search bar - this information can assist with analysis
  • You can make variant codes mandatory on sales or purchase documents, meaning that when you add items to sales orders for example, the variant code must be filled in for your chosen items
  • Report layouts can be swapped between before you run a specific report
