Sowing the seeds for success

Kishore, account manager at The NAV | 365 People (TNP), has been working with Webbs for a number of years. As an expert of LS Retail, he was perfectly placed to aid Webbs in further developing their existing love of the product. TNP and Webbs embarked on their partnership together in 2013; a prosperous and healthy working relationship established between the two ever since. Kishore helped his customer to make the right decision for their business when it came to implementing LS Central, the LS Retail offering built on Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Cultivating success

With tools to care for your garden and inspiring ideas for furnishing your home, Webbs take pride in offering a wonderful selection of goods from gardening tools to bird care, outdoor living to pets and aquatics. Webbs have three flourishing stores open for business and the Enterprise Resource Planning application (ERP) underpinning this success is Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Business growth

With Dynamics NAV and LS Retail, Webbs had created solid groundwork for their planned café expansion. This meant Webbs would now be able to sell hot and cold food, take orders at the table and for those orders to be printed directly in the kitchen. These pre-requisites, and the guidance from their account manager Kishore, led to an upgrade in software.

Webbs’ Dynamics NAV 2009 system and its integration with LS Retail was very successful and, when the decision was made to expand their sites, Webbs were keen to implement Dynamics NAV 2016 with LS Retail and LS Hospitality. This was due to limitations on their 2009 version of Dynamics NAV and the extra functionality available from new versions of NAV and LS Retail. The Dynamics NAV 2009 system continued to be their main ERP solution, with the 2016 version integrated to it for the replication of transactions.

Future Plans

Webbs have since decided to upgrade their main ERP (Dynamics NAV 2009) to Business Central 15 alongside their trusted LS Central solution for retail and hospitality. With the brand-new LS Retail system, Webbs would also benefit from features such as:

  • Latest promotions
  • Reduced stock holding
  • Enhanced membership functionality
  • Replenishment
  • Ability to use handheld functionality on the shop floor and warehouse

 Kishore says: “When the time came to upgrade their system, Webbs were so impressed with the functionalities offered by LS Retail that they did not look for any other solution and chose to upgrade to the latest version of Business Central with LS Retail.”

The discussion around upgrading to Dynamics 365 Business Central has progressed well and both parties are very much looking forward to advancing with the project. Head Office will be upgraded to LS Central first and the solution will then be rolled out to stores. Webbs and TNP are sure to continue the prosperity they are enjoying, with Kishore nurturing the relationship in the best possible direction.
