Our Food solution gives businesses one solution to manage the entire Food Chain, enabling you to move, track, and trace products (in real time), getting stock to market with speed, efficiency, and transparency, meaning increased profitability.
We provide a flexible solution and have a complete understanding of the challenges and needs faced by companies working within the Food Supply Chain. Along with the standard Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality, you'll get:
It’s really important to be able to quickly trace a product back to its original ingredients, especially when the supermarkets turn up unannounced demanding to know this information! In the past this was done by spending hours going to different files and manually pulling out different sheets of paper containing batch numbers and other details. Not anymore! Our solution can supply this information at the touch of a button, showing who you have shipped a batch to in the case of a recall, but also the batch details of all the original ingredients. You can also show non-batch traced items that may have been used in production as well.
Keeping just the right amount of stock is key to any business but even more so when it is food and expiry dates come into play. Our solution allows you to set stock levels at individual item level and also brings in historical data when you run a requisition so that you can pick up any seasonal trends such as Christmas and Easter sales. These then combine to suggest what you should be ordering although of course, you can also apply the human aspect to it and override any figures too!
Having Quality Control data integrated with the main system means that you can instantly prevent goods that have failed a test being used further down the line and also allows you to quickly advise others of a potential issue by sending a workflow off the back of a failed test.
You can set tests at every stage of the process from Goods In, through to Production and Picking & Packing and parameters for these tests can be defined by the users. Tiles allow users to quickly see outstanding or failed tests as well as the history of all tests completed.
Production orders can be taken through different stages from initial planning many weeks before the event is likely to happen, right through to creating an emergency order on the day required. The various stages ensure you have the correct capacity and also the ingredients in place at the right time and are neither panic-ordering or holding too much stock - some of which may be perishable. A graphical planning board helps to plan production and a drag and drop action updates the underlying data in the system.
You may well have stock at many different locations such as external coldstores, especially at busy time such as Christmas. Our solution allows you to easily see what stock you have where and Transfer Orders allow you to move it between locations whilst maintaining complete traceability.
Our Food Solution allows orders to be accepted via EDI as well as manually. Many orders will be for set products unique to that customer so there is a Quick Order entry to make this process as quick as possible. You can also bring delivery charges into this matrix so allowing you to give the customer their total order value straight away.
Whether you choose to do this manually on good old paper or go fully automated with barcode scanning, our food solution will optimise your warehouse routines as well as maintaining integrity of expiration date rules and full item traceability. You can see at bin level which batches remain and can automate picking to suggest that you pick the oldest lot first.
Delivery calendars allow you to advise the customer what day you will next deliver to their area and also help you plan to fill a load for that route.
